The Dormouse is one of
Britain’s most endangered mammals due mainly to loss of its natural
habitat. He can hibernate in the cozy nest of leaves for as much as
three-quarters of the year. If the weather is bad and the outside world
does not look very appealing all he wants is to be left well alone. |
