Secrets: The artist’s neighbor, Gabriella, whose name is written on the hem of her robes, was inspiration for this box figurine. A group of rabbits sit at her feet enjoying life, as her name suggests. David’s signature acorn appears in the folds of her dress under her left wing. Inside is a butterfly. The first version (approximately 100 pieces) has coloured robes, the face looking down and “Gabriella” around the lid. The next version (approximately 125 pieces) has a colourless robe with a painted face. With the third version the mould was changed and the head was positioned upward. Hallmarks include ©, diamond, clock face with month 5, HBC logo, and DL | |||||||||
