Secrets:
This tile figurine is based on Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus," but
our Venus doesn't care for water. Her worried expression, shower cap and
awaiting towel give away her aquaphobia. A crafty frog peaks from the
rim of the fountain, as a bird gulps down an entire fish to feed her
three squawking fledglings. To the right of the tile is the word
"Chilton" on a signpost with the number 57 on the gate. This is the
house number and first part of the village name of the tile's master
carver. |
