Secrets:
In the words of Peter Calvesbert: First a potted history of the "cake
toppers." On 30th September, 1995, I was married to the beautiful...hold
on, I've got it written down somewhere...Andrea! I commemorated the
occasion with a model depicting us on our big day and each of the
wedding guests received a specially inscribed version whether they
wanted one or not. Every year since I have produced an anniversary
piece: paper, cotton, leather, and for year 2000 silk. These models have
the added bonus of not only reminding me when our anniversary actually
is but they also save me having to buy Andrea a card! This year was
complicated by my sister showing me a list of anniversary gifts
different from the one I have. Her list showed the fourth year to be
books, while mine said silk, so I combined the two and made Andrea and
myself into worms...hence silk worms or book worms. The heavy chains
show I have sworn "fealty" to the HK corporation and I have no idea
where the handcuffs came from - swiftly on. You may also notice a
wonderful pair of suckers...displayed up front! Spike the cockatiel is
still with us and the mouse is nestled snugly between our bellies. One
little mistake was that I made too many holes for the hallmarks, so I
turned one of them into a smiley face. These "personal" figures are
really just a bit of fun, but as we produce a fairly low number of them
they could become quite sought after in the future…
