In a woodland glade at the heart of Gramarye, in Damosel's keeping, is a unicorn. The age-old symbol of innocence and purity, the unicorn is the source from which the faeries draw their power. The symbol within Damosel's keepsake box is the unicorn itself. As long as she keeps the unicorn safe, none of the faeries of Gramarye can become truly corrupted in their hearts. They may make mischief but will not cause any lasting harm, to other faerie spirits or to humankind. Collectors will always have a special place in their hearts for Damosel. She brings with her the first of the stories, which explains how the last unicorn in the world came to the Isle of Gramarye and how Damosel saved the unicorn's life, in exchange for a binding promise. |
